This zesty, tangy and earthy smoothie is not only having a vibrant beautiful color, it is also loaded with nutrients. Beetroot is rich in vitamin A, B and C and minerals like magnesium and iron. It is also rich in folate which is an essential vitamin for all the pregnant ladies out there. Beets also work to purify the blood and cleanse the liver. In combo with ginger which activates your metabolism, this power smoothie makes also an excellent detox food.
I like having the pulp in my smoothies as I find it more filling. If you prefer to have it as a juice, you can press the pulp through a fine mesh strainer.
Power Beetroot and Ginger Smoothie

Ingredients
- 1 beetroot
- 1 small piece fresh ginger
- 1 apple
- 1 orange, peeled
- 250 ml water, add more as you like
Instructions
Whiz all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. Add more water as you like.
Notes
You can store this smoothie in a jar for up to 2 days.
